Jillian is a teacher with 39 years teaching experience and is a fully qualified registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and an Advanced Associate Member of the Association of International Dance Teachers, Tap and Jazz.

Diana and Carlene Southgate are the current Hip-Hop, Tap and Jazz Teachers at Dance Direction. Both girls have completed University and have had a solid dance career studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip-Hop from the early age of three years old. (All 3 teachers are registered Qld Blue Card holders). Both girls are Qld FISAF Hip Hop State Champions.

Over the past 10 years pupils have been entered for examinations and over 90% of the pupils have obtained Distinctions, which is the highest mark that can be obtained. The number of pupils is strictly limited in each class, ensuring a high level of individual attention to each pupil. A year-end performance is held in October/November each year. The 2012 performance will be held at the Redcliffe Cultural Centre.

We help each student to obtain their maximum potential in all genres they participate in
and take every care to guide them to their strengths by recognising their
individuality. If you wish to dance just for fun or on a professional
level, our studio offers all facets of dance following RAD and AIDT
exam curriculum. We also offer drama and competition opportunities.

Dance Requirements

Our Studio colour is red and the uniform may be purchased from Step by Step Dancewear at 2/54 Kremzow Road, Brendale . They will be able to assist you with the requirements for each genre. Mrs Samantha Stewart runs our 2nd hand shop and may be contacted on 3204 6380 or 0409472093.
